Avoiding adversity is often futile. Getting hurt is inevitable. We endure the discomfort of life for one of two reasons. Either we are meant to flourish & increase the strength of our faith in the hardened dark savage places that we may find ourselves or we’ve outgrown the challenge therefore it comes a time to accept that enough is enough so we must move on with what we’ve obtained from the experience. We have to listen intently as we pray for God’s voice to give us the discernment in order to distinguish the difference between the two.
Whatever we decide we should consider that there are undeniably people whom are built up & encouraged by our lives through the testimony of trails from which we prevail in suffering comes the evidence of sufficient grace that is confirmed to sustain as well as being aware of those who we subtly destroy & disappoint according by our selfish acts or thoughtless words that afflict more so the heart & grieve the spirit than actually impair the physical body.
Ecclesiastes 7:14-20 NIV
When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future. In this meaningless life of mine I have seen both of these: the righteous perishing in their righteousness, and the wicked living long in their wickedness. Do not be overrighteous, neither be overwise— why destroy yourself? Do not be overwicked, and do not be a fool— why die before your time? It is good to grasp the one and not let go of the other. Whoever fears God will avoid all extremes. Wisdom makes one wise person more powerful than ten rulers in a city. Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.
